Lab Name:
Speech in Context
Study Description:
This study explores phonetic variation within the speech of men, women, and non-binary individuals. Eligible participants will be asked to complete a survey asking questions about their general background, gender and voice, personality, and language background. Then, participants will sign up for a production session, in which audio samples of their speech will be recorded. This will involve reading a passage, narrating some comics, and responding to questions in a conversational interview.
