Research Themes: The Communicating Mind and Body
Praneeth is a graduate research student in the Electrical and Computer Engineering department under the supervision of Prof. Sidney Fels. He is currently working with the Brain2Speech (funded by NSERC) research team in Human Communication Technologies Lab.
Praneeth's work is mostly focused on building different controllers (including reinforcement learning controllers) that can be utilized to solve various speech motor movements. In particular, Praneeth is investigating on control methods to adapt the speed-accuracy tradeoff mechanism just like humans.
His research interest lies in Human Motor Control, Speech Motor Control, Speed-Accuracy tradeoff laws, and Learning to control using Deep Reinforcement Learning.
