Research Themes: Evolving Language in an Information Economy, The Communicating Mind and Body
Shanelle Huberdeau-Haliuk is a master's student in the Department of French, Hispanic and Italian Studies at the University of British Columbia. She completed her undergraduate degree at the Université de Saint-Boniface in Traductologie et Informatique in 2021- this included translation theory and computer science. Shanelle studied French morphology, syntax, phonetics, semantics and the role of translation within Politics.
Her current area of study is in sociolinguistics ; particularly in raciolinguistics and language attitudes surrounding the Mitchif language.
