Research Themes:  Language, Sustainability and Transnationalism

Sara Vieira is a Ph.D candidate at UBC-Okanagan. Her research aims to understand the intersections of bilingualism, identity, and place for Luso-Canadian transnationals. Prior to coming to UBC, Sara attained her MA in Critical Sociology at Brock University where she researched Portuguese language and cultural retention and transmission with Luso-Canadian mothers.
