Sara Van Dan Acker is a PhD student in the department of Language and Literacy Education at the University of British Columbia, where she studies under the co-supervision of Dr. Sandra Zappa-Hollman and Dr. Patsy Duff.
She holds an MA TESOL / Applied Linguistics from Portland State University. She has taught English as an additional language, academic literacy, and teacher preparation courses, as well as multi-disciplinary courses in Oregon (USA), Singapore, Japan, and Vancouver (Canada).
