Masaru Yamamoto is a Ph.D. Candidate in the Department of Language and Literacy Education at the University of British Columbia. His primary scholarly interests include multilingual socialization in postsecondary and other formal and informal settings, multimodality, and most recently, social network analysis. His doctoral dissertation project seeks to explore the multilayered and multifaceted sociorelational complexities of multilingual socialization experienced by undergraduate study-abroad students.
