I am a PhD student in the cognitive systems program at the University of British Columbia.
My research focuses on natural language processing for low resource languages and I have been working lately on African languages. This includes developing language resources and tools to aid automatic processing of human languages.
I'm also interested in language policy as I believe it is an important step to aid the development of low resource languages.
