Denitza Dramkin is a PhD student in the Department of Psychology, working under the supervision of Dr. Darko Odic at the Centre for Cognitive Development.
She is interested in the relationship between language and cognition, including the role of language in narrowing attention to a subset of possible mental representations and how children learn to interface language with their intuitive cognitive capacities.
Research Interests: The role language plays in guiding our attention to specific representations; how language acquisition enriches children's abilities to reason about quantity; how children make sense of (and reason about) competing perceptual, social, and linguistic information.
