Research Themes: Evolving Language in an Information Economy, Language, Sustainability and Transnationalism
Chiyu Zhang is a Ph.D. student at the University of British Columbia (UBC).
He is majoring in machine learning and minoring in natural language processing.
His research interests are in representation learning, attention in NLP, and natural language socio-pragmatics. His research program focuses on developing novel computational methods that enable new discoveries about individuals and communities while also promoting human well-being. He works with Dr. Muhammad Abdul-Mageed at Deep Learning Natural Language Processing at UBC.
