Research Themes:  Language, Sustainability and Transnationalism

Katie is broadly interested in the syntax-semantics interface, and she is currently working on focus in Gitksan (Tsimshianic) and discourse markers in Korean (isolate/Koreanic).

She has also worked on binding and negative bias. She is a member of the Tense and Aspect in the Pacific lab and the Syntax of Speech Acts project, as well as the Gitksan lab.

Originally from Toronto, she has a B.A. in linguistics from Yale.
