Research Themes:  The Communicating Mind and Body

Roberta Ballarin is an associate professor of philosophy at the University of British Columbia. She received her Ph.D. from UCLA in 2001. Before joining UBC in 2006, she held appointments at UCSD and SMU. She specializes in metaphysics, philosophy of logic and philosophy of language. Her interests in philosophy of language are mainly in semantics, with particular emphasis on the distinction between formal semantics and natural interpretations.
