Meike Wernicke is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Language & Literacy Education at UBC. She has a background in French Linguistics and modern language teaching in German and French at the post-secondary level. Her research has focused on French as a Second Language teacher professional development, L2 teacher identity and study abroad, and plurilingual approaches in second language education, with research interests in multilingual language policy and discourse analytic research perspectives.
