Research Themes:  The Communicating Mind and Body

Starting in Summer 2021, Dr. Lauren Emberson will be an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of British Columbia.

At UBC, Dr. Emberson and her lab will be part of the Early Development Research Group, a consortium of several research centers interested in the development of perception, language, learning, and social understanding in infants and children.

Dr. Emberson uses a combination of neuroimaging and behavioural methods to investigate infant development. Her particular interests are in learning, perception and their interaction support language development.
