Dr. García Pérez has been teaching languages for 39 years. Her primary research interest is in the area of second/foreign language teaching and learning. Within this area, she has carried out investigations on e-learning, speech analysis, text analysis, corpus linguistics and most recently on intercultural communication. At present she investigates how intercultural competence and language learning are interconnected. She co-edited (with Constanza Rojas-Primus) the 2017 book Promoting Intercultural Communication Competencies in Higher Education.
Research Interests
Second/foreign language teaching and learning: e-learning, speech analysis, text analysis, corpus linguistics, intercultural communication, and the connection between intercultural competence and language learning.
