Bowen Hui is an Associate Professor of Teaching in Computer Science at the University of British Columbia (Okanagan campus). She completed her Ph.D. in Computer Science at the University of Toronto in the area of intelligent user interfaces — developing software that can model and/or support people in their interaction with computers. During her B.Sc. Honours in Computer Science at the University of British Columbia, Bowen also completed a minor in Linguistics and is passionate about first/second language acquisition. Her current research involves learner models, mobile educational games, and learning analytics.
