Dr. Wilkinson Daniel Wong Gonzales works alongside Dr. Jian Zhu on a computational-sociolinguistics project. Dr. Zhu and Gonzales currently share overlapping interests in the interactions of language and society in an AI-driven world.
Dr. Gonzales is an Assistant Professor in the Department of English at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. His research focuses on language variation and change in multilingual contexts, with a particular interest in the Philippines and wider East Asia. He uses corpus-based, computational, and ethnographic methods to investigate Sino-Philippine and other East Asian language varieties such as Colloquial Singapore English, Philippine English, Hong Kong English, and Lánnang-uè. He is the founder of The Lannang Archives
