Building off this research, Ricki is currently a PhD student at the University of Western Ontario, where she is working with her home community on Cree language revitalization. Her dissertation will explore the consequences of white racism on Indigenous language revitalization, seeking to help non-Indigenous community members develop an antiracist stance.
