Postdoctoral Fellow
Research Themes: The Communicating Mind and Body
Department of Psychology, University of Toronto Mississauga
Félix's research focuses on second language acquisition in adulthood and throughout childhood, emphasizing how listeners use phonetic variability to learn and recognize higher-order linguistic information (mostly phonemes and words).
He uses experimental methods, such as eye tracking, to document, explain and model real-time processing of linguistic information. His research aims to bridge linguistic theory and methods used in psychology and cognitive science.
