Come hear about the many aspects of language-related research and work at UBC, and bring your lunch!
This brown bag lunch event is open to all our members, and anyone working in language-related areas. We invite you all - graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, faculty, affiliates, and alumni - to bring your lunch and hear about the many different areas of language research, including:
- Italian Sign Language by Department of French, Hispanic & Italian Studies student Mirta Roncagalli
- Teaching and Learning Together: A study of D/deaf and Hearing Teaching Partnerships in South Africa by LLED student Simangele Mabena
- Identifying early home literacy environment (HLE) profile and its effect on early reading achievement by Educational and Counselling Psychology, and Special Education student Xuejun Ryan Ji
- An Introduction to Analyzing Head-Mounted Eye Tracking Data by Educational and Counselling Psychology, and Special Education student Andy Ma
Fifteen minutes will be allotted for each talk, with 5 minutes for questions. The event will finish with 30 minutes for general discussion.
