Wikipedia Edit-a-Thon: All Things Language!
February 16, 2023, 2:30 pm to 4:00 pm
Do you want to share your expertise and knowledge of language with the world? Join us on Thursday, February 16th from 2:30-4:00pm for the first ever Language Sciences Wikipedia Edit-A-Thon: All Things Language!
At this virtual event, you’ll work collaboratively with other UBC and UBCO students and faculty to upgrade Wikipedia pages relating to language. This is a great way to improve the Wikipedia encyclopedia, share your knowledge and expertise, learn how to edit webpages, and improve your general information literacy.
Dr. Christine Schreyer, Language Sciences Co-Director and Associate Professor of Anthropology at the University of British Columbia’s Okanagan campus, will be leading this event and sharing all her Wikipedia tips and tricks. You won’t want to miss it!
This event is open to all UBC and UBCO students and faculty. All experience levels are welcome!
