The Peter Wall Institute for Advanced studies is a 10 minute walk from West Coast Suites. 

If you would like to venture off campus, Vancouver and UBC are served by Translink (www.translink.ca).

Day passes may be purchased at Shoppers Drug Mart on University Boulevard, conveniently located near the bus loop that serves Downtown Vancouver

Please note that breakfast, lunch, and morning and afternoon snacks will be provided at the workshop.

Access to wifi is available using Eduroam or the ubcvisitor network. 

Attractions

There are a number of attractions to visit on campus. It is definitely worth simply taking a walk, as a number of buildings were designed in collaboration with the Canadian architect Arthur Erickson, including Koerner Library and the Museum of Anthropology. Many campus buildings are recognizable from appearances in television and film.
