Language Sciences is pleased to welcome Kelsea Franzke as the institute's new Communications Specialist. Kelsea has several years of experience working collaboratively with teams to produce original communications materials, develop engagement strategies and support the success of large-scale projects.
Prior to joining the Language Sciences Institute, Kelsea worked for a communications and strategic engagement consulting firm where she supported province-wide online community dialogues, technical workshops and training sessions, as well as health and sustainability outreach initiatives. With a focus on non-market housing projects and work supporting Urban Indigenous communities, Kelsea has extensive experience organizing public engagement activities and producing reports that help to build community trust in supportive and affordable housing initiatives across BC.
With additional experience in social media management and content creation, Kelsea has developed creative online campaigns and produced engaging digital content for multiple online platforms.
Kelsea is a UBC alumni who completed her Bachelor of Arts degree at the Vancouver campus with a major in Psychology and a minor in Anthropology. She also holds a Post-Graduate Certificate in Journalism from Langara College.
