Research Themes:  Evolving Language in an Information Economy, Language, Sustainability and Transnationalism

Osanka Rathnasiri is a PhD Student in Language and Literacy Education (LLED) at the University of British Columbia. Her background is in TESL and Linguistics, and her research interests include English Medium Instruction (EMI), language ideologies, identity, intersectionality, and the power and politics of language in higher education. She has ten years of experience teaching English for Academic Purposes (EAP) to undergraduate students in Sri Lanka.
